My dad is really not very well. He is in no pain, which is something to be thankful for, but he is very weary and has no interest in eating.
He is unable to get out of bed, and spends most of his day drifting in and out of sleep.
When he is awake though, he is lucid, and he and I were able to have a few wonderful talks today.
Although I wish he wasn't having to go through all this, I am glad we have this time to say all the things to each other that we want to say.
It's breaking my heart to see him like this, but he is very accepting of where we're at right now.
I asked him how he was today, and he told me he is 'weary and worn, but not sad'.
I'm going back again tomorrow to spend the day with him and Mum.
We love him so much and we couldn't ask for a better Dad or Grandpa.
Please, we would really appreciate your thoughts and prayers for Dad and Mum, and for the rest of us too. This is a hard time for all of us.

As i've said, you know where I am if I can help physically - collecting charlie etc and emotionally, if you feel you need a few minutes of not being quite so strong i've got a lovely shoulder that doesn't mind getting wet and 2 nice arms that love to hug! xxxxxxxxxx
