Quick catch-up...

Well, I don't really know where to start - life is so busy at the moment I'm struggling to find time to blog about it!
Charlie is into his final two weeks at primary school and he has got so much going on - over the past few weeks he's had an exhibition evening at primary school, a choir concert at his new school, cycling proficiency, a weekend away at Harry Potter Studios with his friend Ewan, and this weekend just gone he's been at an adventure weekend in West Wales with school for all the Year 6 kids.
So he got back yesterday at about 4pm (I've finally finished all the muddy washing!) and today he's gone off for his transition day at his new secondary school.
He was so excited to go this morning (albeit slightly bleary-eyed after two very late nights when he was away!) and l can't wait to hear all about his new school. He should be finding out who his form tutor is, and be exploring the school grounds and the canteen.
He's spending the whole day there so we have to pick him up at 3pm. (He'll go on the bus when he starts properly though.)
I'm so excited to see him enjoying this major milestone - when I think that we were only given a 50/50 chance of him starting primary school, and now we're about to see him leaving primary and starting secondary... to say I'm grateful doesn't seem enough really.
Rosie is growing up so fast - I'm attaching her latest playschool photo. She loves playschool and playing with all her friends. She also loves playing with Charlie's friends too - she's quite the social butterfly!
She has had a busy few weeks as well, with trips to the farm, birthday parties, sports day, as well as an end-of-term party coming up as well.
Then in a few weeks we're off to Salou in Spain for a week - although it's unlikely to be a particularly relaxing holiday, we're all really looking forward to it.
Oh, I forgot to mention, we had Charlie's pacemaker clinic at the end of June - he's doing brilliantly - plenty of life left in his battery, plus his sats were sitting nicely at 90. He's also grown 3.5cm and gained 3kg since we were last at the hospital, which is great.
Anyway - I'd better fly and iron the last of the washing from Charlie's weekend away!
Will try to get a new pic of Charlie next time - the latest one I have is of him trying on his outfit for his leavers' party, and I don't want to spoil the surprise!
:-)
