July 9, 2007

Hello everyone, just a quick update further to the Portugal pictures below... I've just picked up Charlie's latest playschool picture, so thought I'd post it for you to have a look at. I know I'm biased, but how cute is he! It's amazing how much he's grown up since the last one was taken.
No other news really - all is going well with the building work, although Charlie told me he was looking forward to going to playschool today 'because it'll be a lot quieter than home'!
We've had the letter from the hospital to ring and arrange Charlie's next checkup appointment, so I will post as soon as we know when it is. It's pretty scary really, because the consultant here in Cardiff is going to refer Charlie back up to Birmingham for a cardiac catheter after this next appointment. So we'll soon be back onto the hospital rollercoaster, spiralling ever faster towards Charlie's fontan surgery. The best plan is not to worry about it until we have to though. Well, we're trying.

Hi Charlie,
I am Isaac's Grandma Leino who lives in Florida. I enjoyed your pictures of your holiday. Guess what! I have been to Cardiff, also. We have friends, Terry and Vivian Thomas who live in Weymouth. We visited the castle and had a wonderful time eating fish-n-chips there. My husband was in a choir tour that visited Terry and Vivian's church, The Church on the Wey. Have you ever been there? We enjoyed time on Weymouth's beach, also. I hope Isaac will be able to fly to see us in Florida one day. I am glad you had such a wonderful time on the plane. We will continue to keep up with you on your blog.

WOW what a handsome young man you are turning into Charlie!

Glad to hear that you've had a lovely holiday. We've been camping down in Devon near to Torquay and next week will be up your way. We are going camping in Minehead. Lucy is really enjoying sleeping in the tent.

I am glad to hear how well you are doing and hope that your next cardiac appointment goes well.

Note for mummy and daddy: Lucy is CMV free and has been since 22nd May. She has no rejection now but is needing to have cardiac checks every month at the moment. The last threw up a slight glitch on the ECG, nothing that they are overly worried about, but are watching. Still has her Hickman Line at the moment they are hopeful this will be removed in a couple of months' time.

Anyhow, maybe we will catch up with you some time this year if she stays CMV free.

All our love
