I'm off to bed - but how strange not to have to check on my sleeping boy. Charlie's had a wonderful day (so he told me on the phone at bedtime - Lego, a carvery lunch, I spy, loads of hugs and cuddles, colouring, stories, Batman games...) and he's now fast asleep at Nanny and Grandpa's.
He's had such a wonderful time - he adores them and they love having him, but Pete and I miss him so much when he's not here.
Oh, how empty this house feels without him! Roll on tomorrow when he comes home... but don't tell him I said that!
