April 2, 2010

Today has been a pretty quiet day. It's Good Friday today, so there's nothing much happening - hardly any doctors around, no drips or drains to come out.
It just feels like we're holding our collective breath, waiting for the next thing to happen.
The teachers and play specialists are all off for the Easter weekend, so there's nothing fun happening at the craft table to make it worthwhile for Charlie to get out of bed.
Charlie's remaining drain has drained a tiny, tiny bit, but we can hear that there is still fluid below his right lung. He's not deteriorating, so it makes us think that he's not still actively draining - probably just that there's a
pool of fluid which isn't being reached by his chest drain. I don't quite know what the plan will be - we're trying to get him to
move as much as we can, but I hope he's not going to need a
new drain.
I think we're all feeling a bit flat and tired today.
