He found out he's got the teacher he was hoping for next year; he and his best friend Reuben are still in the same class; (there has been another big reshuffle, so all the kids have been mixed around again) AND his school report was excellent on all fronts!
Pete and I are SO proud of him - he's doing so well in all aspects of the curriculum.
I know all parents are proud of their kids, but before Charlie was born, we never really thought about how he would do academically.
All we wanted was for him to survive long enough to actually get to school, and hoped that he might manage to be 'average'.
But just look at him now - almost finished with his time in the Infants, happy, confident and "exceeding expectations" across the board - academically, physically, socially and emotionally.
Three cheers for Charlie!
