Today is my Dad's birthday. He's 79. Charlie is very excited at the prospect and rang Grandpa while we were on the way to school so he could wish him happy birthday!
Unfortunately Dad's not feeling too great today - he's in quite a bit of pain - but hopefully his painkillers will do their job so he can enjoy his day a bit. (Mum said he cheered up a lot when Charlie rang!)
I'm going to visit later on this morning, and then Pete's bringing Charlie down after school. I think my brothers and sister are coming too, so it'll be nice if Dad's feeling a bit brighter by then.
