The letter from the hospital arrived this morning.

Charlie will be admitted on March 22, for his surgery the next day. His admission will be dependent on an ICU bed being available though, so I'll have to ring the hospital before we leave to make sure the surgery is still happening.

I don't really know how I feel - I'm pretty numb at the moment and the blind panic hasn't set in yet.

My main feeling right now, is how much I miss my dad. I want to ring him and tell him what's happening so he can tell me that it'll be ok. But I can't, and it really stinks.
