Fontan Day?

Morning all! Sleep was in short supply here last night - the overhead lights were on until after 10pm and someone in the next-door cubicle had their light and TV on until 11.20 - so Charlie was awake (quiet and resting, but awake nonetheless) until 11.30. I don't have a clue when I eventually dozed off, but it was very late. (or should I say early?)
Charlie had an echo and an ECG late last night. Everything looks great - his heart function is brill and his tricuspid valve is still only mildly leaky. All of which bodes well.
The team here are working as though Charlie will be having his op today - he's provisionally second on the list, so should go to theatre at about 12.30pm. He had a very early breakfast at about 6am, so he's allowed just water now until 10.30am, then nothing.
Never have I been more glad to have a child who rarely gets hungry.
We'll probably know by lunchtime whether the op will be going ahead - if not, we can take him out of the hospital for a bit.
That's about it for now - I'll keep you posted.
Here's a pic of Chas watching a DVD after breakfast this morning, with Max -his cuddly dog that my dad bought him when he had his first op.
