Hi folks. Charlie's feeling better in himself, but is still coughing. It seems to be improving daily, and he hasn't coughed himself sick for a couple of days now (but I'm still grabbing a bucket when he starts in with a coughing fit.)
He's been off school all week so far, and I'm keeping him off tomorrow too, because he's still looking a bit pale and washed out.
I need him to get better and shake off this cough NOW. We have 12 days until he's admitted, and I need him to be 100% well by then.
I'm going to get him to sit over a steamy bowl of water with some Vicks in it later - cough mixtures don't generally do that much really, and Charlie can't take most of them anyway.
We haven't left the house at all this week, other than the appointment at the doctor on Monday, so we're getting a bit of cabin fever now! I went into the garden to feed the birds before, and it was lovely to feel the sun on my face. It's still cold, but it's so nice to see a bit of sun, and to see the daffodils coming up in the garden.
Anyway, that's it for now - I'm off to make Charlie's tea!
