70mls in 24 hours!

Well, as you might have guessed, Charlie only drained 70mls yesterday!
Things are looking good!
The doctor came round this morning, listened to Charlie's chest again
(clear - right down to the lung bases!!) and said if Charlie's
drainage continues to reduce, they will scan him tomorrow and then,
all being well, take out that final, stubborn chest drain on Thursday!
If this goes ahead as planned, there's a chance, just a chance, that
we might get home this coming weekend.
Charlie is bright and breezy again today - we'll be heading for the
play centre again later - it's good to see our boy getting back to his
normal self.
His INR was down to 3.4 today (still high, but better than it was
yesterday) so hopefully it should be back within an acceptable range
by tomorrow.
I've escaped the ward for a bit to have a shower, leaving Pete, Mum
and Charlie playing a Harry Potter Trivia board game. Poor Mum - other
than the few chapters she's read to Charlie over the past couple of
weeks, she has neither read nor watched any Harry Potter - so I'm
thinking Charlie might have a slightly unfair advantage!
Please keep those prayers and positive thoughts coming for ever-
reducing drainage - we're starting to see the light at the end of the
tunnel... and it feels GOOD!
