son, Harry, at Symonds Yat - a local beauty spot.
The weather forecast was rubbish, but the weathermen got it wrong
(again!) and we had beautiful, hot sunshine all day long!
Charlie and Harry had lots of fun - wandering round the hedge maze and
butterfly farm, playing crazy golf, watching the boats on the river
and playing on a few little fairground rides. (And the grown-ups
enjoyed a fabulous lunch at a beautiful old hotel!)
Rick and Tracy brought their dog, Suzie, with them as well, and
Charlie thought he was so grown-up, holding her lead and taking her
for walks.
It's always so lovely to catch up with good friends.
Today really was one of those happy, golden days.
