The benefits of a big baby bump...

Well, we're on our way to London - albeit with a slightly stressful start.
Firstly, Alfie Boe has had pharyngitis and wasn't able to sing in Les Miserables for most of last week.
Oh dear.
Charlie's hoping that a three-day weekend might have helped his voice recover and that he'll be back on stage tonight. (He's asking me to check the Les Mis website every five minutes to see if any announcement has been made yet about tonight's show...)
So, living in hope, we headed for the station - only to find that our train was late, and then cancelled because of an accident on the track overnight.
As Charlie said - 'This is one of those times when I wish we had a teleporter, so we didn't have to sit here for hours, waiting for a stupid train...'
When the next train eventually turned up, our seat reservations didn't count any more, and it was jam-packed with two train-loads of passengers and all their luggage.
There were no seats anywhere, so we were resigned to standing all the way to London... until the conductor spotted us, noticed my baby bump, and, feeling sorry for us, promptly escorted us to the empty first-class carriage!
So, we are happily ensconced in our roomy leather seats, reading our free newspapers and drinking our free drinks!
One of the perks of pregnancy, eh!
Hopefully our day will continue to improve from hereon in!!
